James Whitcomb Rileys Greek revival hilltop tomb is beautiful and has a lovely view. Dillinger was a little hard to find, but nice that he made it to the family plot. The Stan Malless tennis net marker was my favorite.

A year ago my baby girl passed away due to her being born 21 weeks early. I had acquired their services and had expected nothing but quality service from them. Being that they have done business with a very close family member of mine. An employee that had worked there had taken care of the arrangements with my grandmother and had arranged it to where my grandmother could purchase her own stone to lay down at my daughters grave. But when my grandmother inquired about laying down the stone she purchased. She was told that she couldnt lay the headstone down, because she was told by an employee that the stone she had was too big for the grave. But little do they know she was there at the burial and the grave they dug for my daughter was a very big days for an infant. Then was told that she had purchased and instead had to buy from them and was charged accordingly. Which was totally unfair considering the fact that she has all of her receipts and paperwork from the purchase of the stone.
i go to put flowers on my daughters grave for Mothers Day and I couldnt find my daughter at all. The grave didnt have a marker and it was unkept. Its been over a year and the stone that was ordered through Crown Hill Funeral Home is still not even there. Im very disappointed how my daughters grave has been kept and I was very hurt that I couldnt visit my daughters grave, because I couldnt find her. As a mother, I am deeply hurt and disappointed with Crown Hills services. This is very unacceptable and inexcusable for the way things have been. To this very day I have yet to find where my daughter is buried for me to visit her and it hurts me deeply that I cant find her.

After the death of my wife I was served by Evan Price at Crown Hill Cemetery. I found Evan to be compassionate, knowledgeable, and acceptable. I don$0027t even know where to begin but here goes! This is definitely worth the read! My aunt passed a few months ago prompting the «discussion» that most families dread. I made an appointment and purchased plots for our family at Crown Hill. The service was precisely as one would expect from a funeral home. The person helping was fine, the atmosphere was fine, the meeting room though gloomy, was fine. Nothing more. Nothing less. Precisely as most would picture purchasing plots from a funeral home. I left feeling as most would- kind of in awe at how dismal funeral planning is and felt bad for the people working in funeral homes. Sadly, two months later and very unexpectedly, my mother passed away. We were assigned Victoria Powers to help with our funeral. Let me just tell you…it was a COMPLETE 180 degree experience.
God truly knew what my family needed and sent us an angel in Victoria; she was full of life, bubbly, eager, and absolutely a problem solver. I am not sure what is required to work in the funeral industry and really don$0027t care. All I know is that Victoria hit a home run! This woman is INCREDIBLE. Put it this way, I bought three more funerals from her at our follow up meeting.
Victoria Powers was a machine. She gave us assistance. She cried with us. She texted us the night before the funeral and the night after making sure we were okay. She even came to the house to finalize paperwork when I was beyond aggravated at the ridiculousness of my own personal error on a document that administration wouldn$0027t accept even after I initialed the correction. Sensing my anger, Victoria didn$0027t want to make me drive back downtown so she drove to my home even after I wanted to personally address the issue with administration. She handled it directly so I didn$0027t have to–even after I pointed out there was a mistake in Victoria$0027s business card! Thank goodness Crown Hill wised up and now has a digital contract. When we purchased the three funerals at the review and added vases to my parents plots, it was completely seamless with no admin involved from the customer side. What a complete breath of fresh air! The last thing people need during this time are any outside issues-especially with something as miniscule as a line in a document.
Victoria helped us with what to wear and even made an appointment with a hairdresser as I couldn$0027t get into mine in such short notice. She was there every single step of the way and was never in a «doom and gloom» mood. She was full of life and willing to completely go the extra mile at every turn. We will forever be grateful to her as well as her family as we know she gave up important hours outside of work to assist us.
There is no question we were able to get through this because of Victoria. I pray no one needs Victoria any time soon, but if you do, or if you simply need to set up future plans, you need to request Victoria, even if it means you have to wait in line. This girl is worth the wait and an absolute blessing. My mother passed 5 weeks ago and V still sends me texts from mom as she passes her grave site. That in itself is beyond the kindest gesture.
Thanks, Victoria, for being you! You truly have no idea what a total asset you are to those in times of loss. I can$0027t imagine how you do it but am beyond thankful. Crown Hill has a SuperStar in you!
