The Davis Family Funeral Home (Walker Brown location) recently served our family in the passing of a loved one. They went above and beyond to surpass all expectations during an extremely difficult time. The tenderness and care with which they guided us through this process was appreciated. They took care of numerous details and had several extra touches that were both sentimental and encouraging. Our family is extremely grateful for the excellent service provided us recently by Carter Davis of the Davis Family-Walker Brown Funeral Home. We found Carter to be extremely responsive to our situation.
My dad had done preneed planning with Carter about 3 years ago. When my mother passed away recently, the plan was set into motion and resulted in a very seamless handling of our needs. We found Carter Davis to be excellent at anticipating and fulfilling our every request.
We would, without hesitation, highly recommend the services provided by Carter and his associates.

You shouldn$0027t have to pay $750 advance out of pocket for anything. Didn$0027t matter what obituary said its a flat $250 which had to be paid that day. Carter has no empathy left, he$0027s just going thru the motions. Mr Wilson on the other hand was very helpful. He has a good heart. We went somewhere else for my mom and didn$0027t have to pay anything out of pocket and they made us feel like royalty.

This Funeral home in Bartlesville was recently purchased by Davis Family funeral home in Dewey. It was formerly Walker Brown. The Director$0027s name is Carter Davis. He is the rudest most horrible person I have ever dealt with. In reviewing my dad$0027s funeral policy he was trying to tell me there was not enough money to cover the service. I had specifically addressed the money issue with the funeral home prior to him buying it. I was assured that the money in the policy was enough. (Carter tried to blame everything on the previous owner..which was not my problem!) Because I was questioning his line of thought- and his trying to ask for more MONEY – HE OFFERED TO BURY MY DAD IN A CARDBOARD CASKET… HOW VERY RUDE AND HEARTLESS A COMMENT. This was an absolute INSULT to me and my family.
When we met with him to write the obituary– he said–«I am Carter» No condolence, not even any sort of comment (nor even a hello) to make us feel welcomed. Very rude and uncaring. Very cold during the process of writing the obit. He obviously was upset with my refusing to pay more money than what the burial policy was.
I would NEVER recommend this man to anyone. His employee Mike is very nice and I hate that he works for this CREEP. Hopefully he will find other employment because I can not see this place succeeding with Carter running it.
